Turkey Toss Game - Primary Sharing Time

On Sunday November 17th I did sharing time in primary. The lesson was about Temporal Blessings. I usually do 3 to 4 activities to keep the children busy and not bored. I usually start doing an activity to find out the topic of the lesson. It could be a puzzle, matching games, looking for a picture hidden in the classroom, invisible ink, etc. After that I start teaching the lesson. At the end I finish with a fun activity related to the lesson. It could be word search, pop balloons and answer questions, etc. For Senior sharing time I change a little bit the lesson. I also use the scriptures more with them. To finish the complete lessons I show a short video related to the lesson. I find these videos in mormon channel. I like to keep the children busy with different activities so that they don't get bored. It really works!
This Week I found a great idea on the internet about a turkey toss game. I made the turkeys and got some beanbags. It was very easy. My children have a lot of fun. My lesson was about temporal blessings. I put some questions in the back of each turkey tails. Once the children knocked the turkey off the table by throwing the bean bag they had to answer the question. Of course the questions were related to the topic of the lesson.
This is how I did the turkey game:
I printed the tails on colored cardstock and the feet on orange cardstock. I also taped 2 coins to the bottom of the feet so that the turkey stands up right. The head and front of the turkey I printed on white cardstock. I embellished them by coloring the tips of the feathers and the giblet. I used a balloon for the body. I made 12 turkeys. I put them on a table in primary and we had a lot of FUN!
