Good News about my Parents!

My parents applied for a visa to the USA . Now they can come to visit me when the baby comes. They had their interview on Wednesday January 22nd. I know they were nervous. They didn't tell me about it but I knew they were. We didn't know what would happen because of the bad experience in the past when they applied to come for my wedding their visa was denied. It was so sad for us. Since then my parents haven't apply for a visa again. They have their life in Peru and the only reason to come to USA is to visit me and now that I'm pregnant they want to be part of my happiness and be with me. I know that Heavenly Father answers our prayers. Since I moved to USA I have only spent 14 days with my parents in 2011 when we went for vacations to Peru.  I'm always in contact with them by phone or Skype. I was planning to go to Peru for vacation this year but we found out that we are pregnant and we decided to wait. We were waiting for good news on the 22nd. My brother sent me text telling me that their visa was approved. Scott and I were so happy for that. I called my parents right after I received the text and they were so excited that we will meet again. They have the visa for 10 years. I hope they can come to visit me as many times as they can. It is always difficult for us to go to Peru because of the vacation time that Scott has at work. We usually take 14 days off to go to Peru and we use 2 days of them just to travel. Now that my parents have their visa it will be nice to spent more than 2 weeks with them. I know that Heavenly Father blesses us in the right place and time. There is no doubt of that. I know that he is always watching over Scott and I .

Barbara and Craig in Visalia

Scott's parents came to Visalia to visit us. It was nice to have them at our house! Barbara was teaching me how to cook some meals. She also taught me how to set up my new sewing machine. She showed me how to hem Scott's scrubs.  On Saturday we took them to Fresno to visit the Underground Gardens but it wasn't open. They are closed during winter and they will open in April. For lunch Scott introduced to us Pita pit. It was really good. We were happy with our lunch. We decided to stay in Fresno to do some shopping for our Nursery. After that we went to eat dinner at The Cheese Cake Factory. Craig painted our baby's room lavender. It turned out so cute with the color that Scott and I chose. I also went with them to the Fresno Temple. That night, once Scott came home we went to eat Italian food at Fugazzis here in Visalia. It was nice to see them. I'm glad they came to Visalia to visit us.

New Years Eve!

We invited the Muro family to come to our house for dinner that day. I cooked a peruvian dinner after that we watched a movie " Soul Surfer". We were talking with them after the movie for about one hour and then we decided to play phase 10. We started to play at 11:00 pm. Sister muro's daughter, Nina asked if she could come over to our house with her boyfriend Steven to play with us. They came and then we played until 3:00 am. I couldn't believe it was 3:00am already. We had a really good time with them. Bro Muro reminds me of one of my uncles who lives in Peru. He is 6' 6" tall like my uncle.

7 months Pregnant & Enjoying the Treadmill

In this picture I'm 7 months pregnant. I really like our treadmill. It helps me to feel active even during my pregnancy.

Christmas!

We enjoyed our Christmas. I hope Santa stopped by your house because he stopped at ours. We opened some gifts in the morning and then we went to eat breakfast with some friends from church. After that we went to visit some families from our ward to leave them a gift. During the evening we did Skype with our families. Scott & I are enjoying our big Christmas gift a treadmill. Since winter started I wasn't able to exercise.  Now there is not an excuse to exercise at home on the treadmill.

Busy Christmas!

Once we came from UT we have been busy decorating our home, buying some things, catching up with primary responsibilities, etc. This week I have been working on burning 77 CD's with the 2014 primary songs that we are going to use to give to the families in my ward so that the children can learn these songs at home. This was our Christmas gift from the primary presidency. It took time to make them but Scott was helping me a lot. He helped one night cutting the insert covers that we printed at staples. I purchased the templates for the insert covers online. They look cute. We gave these CD's to the families in our ward, primary teachers, chorister, pianist and the primary presidency.

Vacations in UT 2013

We spent some vacations in UT. We flu there on November the 28th through December 7th. It was nice to see everybody there and celebrate thanksgiving with family. We visited Scott's family and some friends. My mother-in-law Barbara also organized a baby shower for me. I received many nice gifts from everyone for our baby girl. We are really thankful to everyone who came to the baby shower. We also went to see the Christmas lights at the temple square. The weather was freezing, but I needed to get some pics and film some parts of the temple to show to my family in Peru. It's difficult to do many things with a pregnant woman. We just decided to take it easy and spend time with family.  Because of the holidays and the shower we got many things and we didn't have enough space in our luggage to take it all home. We left some of stuff in UT. Barbara & Craig are going to come to California sometime in January. Hopefully they can bring our stuff that we left there. They will also bring our camera. Scott put our camera in his winter coat pocket and he left the coat in UT : / pictures coming up soon once I get my camera back :)
